New Rider FAQ

At Sinnis we would like everyone to have as much knowledge a possible before committing to their next purchase or indeed getting on two wheels and hitting the road. For that reason we have set up a few frequently asked questions, that you may have. Please feel free to email us if you feel that your questions is not answered.

Check out the warranties section on our 'Why Buy Sinnis?' page, follow this link.

+ OTR means 'Plus on the road cost'. This means that some of the prices may vary between dealers across the network. For example typical +OTR cost would include Registration, Tax for the first year, PDI and Number plate and as a general rule of thumb this is an additional £100 added to the cost listed on our website. However, this can change with each dealer depending on their own specific deals at the time. We allow the dealer to adjust their own On the Road cost to suit their own dealership therefore, if you are in doubt then please contact the Sinnis Dealership in question for the specific and final price.

When you purchase you new Sinnis motorcycle or scooter, it will be initially PDI’d and registered – this means you have 3 years before you need to re-MOT the bike again. Your motorcycle or scooter will also be taxed by the dealership (as part of registration) for 1 year. The annual tax for a 50cc or 125cc is currently (as of February 2018) £17 for the year.

First port of call is always is our website in the Rider Information section, but on the assumption that you would like more information about your new scooter or motorcycle we have a very active owners club on Facebook where you can share experiences an stories with other Sinnis owners. Or alternatively you can contact us via the website, on Facebook, Instagram or give us a call on 01273 02096501273 020965.

Sinnis are based in the UK (Brighton) with a large dealer network of over 120 dealers, including Malta, Portugal and Slovakia etc. We have excellent links with a small number of factories producing bikes for us in the far-east. These bikes and scooters are made to our specification then bought to the UK where they are hand finished, PDI’d and registered for use on the road. We ONLY work with our partner factories so we have superb R&D (research & development) and continuous improvement systems in place. Our partner factories also produce bikes for Suzuki, Yamaha, Harley Davidson, Piaggio and Peugeot. At Sinnis Quality is our core value.

As our dealers are all independent, each dealer will offer their own finance packages. Many dealers offer Finance with major finance companies such as Black Horse, Superbike Loans, MotoNovo Finance, Close Motor Finance and others make sure that you can be offered different, tailored finance which is suitable to your personal needs and circumstances.

Find out what sets us apart from the competition at Why Buy Sinnis?

At Sinnis we refrain from giving the top speed information for our motorcycles and scooters. The reason for this is it is dependent on so many factors that either cannot be controlled or is specific to the rider. Two main examples of this are wind condition and rider weight which both play a big factor in top speed and mean that each bike may make a slightly different top speed and acceleration. Also the ability to change riding dynamics with different variator, roller weights and derestriction methods mean that each bike can be tailored to produce slightly faster acceleration or top end speed.

The service schedule for all Sinnis Motorcycles and Scooters is as follows:
